Michele Hermansen is a photojournalist who touches your heart and soul through her photographs, writing, and her motivational keynote presentations.
Unexpected Journeys is her recently published book that chronicles her initial trip to Africa in 2005, working on a mission team that built a water system in a rural Tanzanian village. As Michele writes with unique candor and honesty, the trip challenged her spiritually, physically and emotionally. It was the beginning of significant life changes, including ongoing involvement in African education and economic development.
Michele thrives on a full life, and brings a high degree of competence and commitment to all she does. She has a reputation for being a consensus-building leader with strong results orientation. Her corporate career included strategic contributions in human resources, then sales and marketing. Michele is involved in local philanthropy as the part-time Executive Director for a Community Foundation, as well as African philanthropy and development.
